New retail stores open in Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon,
offering savings every day, all year long

New York, NY—Tufenkian Artisan Carpets, the world’s premier manufacturer of handmade, luxury Tibetan and Armenian rugs, introduces its latest venture, the Tufenkian Archive Store.

With new locations on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles and in the historic Pearl District of Portland, Oregon, the Tufenkian Archive Store is the outlet center for classic Tufenkian Artisan Carpets, samples, and special purchases from around the world at tremendous savings.  The Archive Store offers newly discounted and one-of-a-kind rugs, as well as unique shapes and custom sizes.  These Tufenkian originals are available to designers and consumers at discounts of 30% - 60% every day, all year long. Shoppers of Tufenkian’s Archive Store will find a range of exquisite designs to enhance any living environment.

Adjacent to each Archive Store is a Tufenkian Artisan Carpets showroom, where one can experience the latest introductions from Tufenkian’s Tibetan and Armenian collections, including the Designers’ Reserve featuring creations by Barbara Barry, Mark Pollack, Kevin Walz and Vicente Wolf.

Every carpet at the Tufenkian Archive Store reflects Tufenkian’s time-honored processes—including producing the rugs entirely by hand—and ensures that each finished product is a distinct work of unparalleled beauty and enduring quality.

For over two decades, Tufenkian has redefined the traditional handmade carpet industry by taking a modern aesthetic and marrying it with an ancient craft. Tufenkian has created a line of nearly 500 programmed designs/colorways and hundreds more custom designs that reside in thousands of the world’s most extraordinary homes.

Collections are predominantly sold to the trade and can be purchased through the company’s six US showrooms – Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, and Portland, Oregon - as well as through select dealers nationwide, including Bloomingdale’s and Baker Showrooms.  Tufenkian will also open a new showroom in Las Vegas’ World Market this summer.

Tufenkian applies its standard for excellence to all areas of its business; its award-winning programs for worker welfare, social responsibility and environmental preservation are unparalleled.  Additional information can be found at www.tufenkian.com.
