A short film by Gor Bagdasaryan, a student at the Manana Youth Center in Armenia, will be exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. The film is part of the line-up for the Armenian Dramatic Arts Association’s second annual Armenian Film Festival, running May 1-May 3.
Offering a unique blend of social consciousness and cutting-edge technology, Manana prepares creative youth to become leading journalists, photographers, artists, designers and filmmakers. Students work with the region’s most talented professionals and have won numerous awards and prizes at international competitions around the world, including six films winning eight prizes in festivals across Europe and North America in 2008.
Since 2003, the Tufenkian Foundation has sponsored the Manana youth center in its efforts to help local youth become responsible, independently thinking, socially active citizens.
