Tufenkian Introduces Radiance by Barbara Barry

This new collection reflects its name with designs that seem to radiate and shimmer in light play between silk and wool. Radiance introduces new colors of soft blues, faded rose and cool grays, reflecting Barbara’s penchant for a subdued palette. “These carpets embrace the subtlety and nuance I strive for in my work,” comments Barry. The new designs and constructions are quite intricate and complex, translating into a sophisticated collection of elegant, yet playful wool and silk designs. The collection offers eight designs with names such as Effervescence, Galaxy and Sequins; each is made in Nepal and available in multiple colorways and sizes. Barbara Barry is recognized as one of the world’s most prominent and talented designers. Barry’s ability to create beautiful and uncomplicated living environments has earned the praise of her peers and press, making her the most widely published female American designer today. In 2000, Barry was inducted into Interior Design Magazine’s Hall of Fame. Barry’s collaboration with Tufenkian began in the mid 1990’s.
