Residents and visitors in Portland’s Pearl district again had the opportunity to visit Tufenkian’s new showroom last month as part of the neighborhood’s First Thursday gallery walk.  This was the fourth time Tufenkian has participated since moving into the Pearl district this summer.  The evening sees local businesses, restaurants and galleries each feature the work of a local artist for a one-night-only exhibition.  At Tufenkian’s showroom, Portland-area designer Rebecca Hittleman’s complex, ornamental designs—which are inspired by the patterned symmetry found in nature—were on display for 50 guests.

The First Thursday gallery walks are a favorite event of the showroom staff, and they are looking forward to hosting their next one this spring.
