Overview

With more than two decades of experience as a residential designer, Sanjay Singhal creates interiors that bring together the modern efficiency of Miles van der Rohe with the ornate timelessness of Nancy Lancaster.

When he is looking for flooring that will keep a room looking thoroughly contemporary for decades, Sanjay turns to Tufenkian carpets. Citing their “exceptionally rich colors and textures,” Sanjay calls Tufenkian’s carpets “great products, very beautifully made.” He has been placing them in his interiors for several years, most recently using Tufenkian’s Marsovan Flax in his room in the prestigious 2009 Lake Forest Showhouse.

Sanjay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Notre Dame. He opened his own firm, Sanjay R. Singhal Professional Design Services, in 2001 after 15 years in the interior design industry.
