The Rare Weaves: Kazak collection draws inspiration from antique patterns. This collection is a nod to the history of Caucasian Armenian carpet weaving. Each rug is hand-made using the nomadic style wool warp and wept foundation of high-quality Armenian wool. The Kazak designs hail from the western region of Armenia. The collection offers rugs in various sizes, each featuring vibrant colors and bold, archetypal designs. Each rug is one-of-a-kind and made outside of Yerevan, Armenia.
A latch hook triple medallion Armenian Kazak weave wool rug in forest green, this Kazak one-of-a-kind rug features the classic three center medallions each enclosed in a rectangle. This rug also makes use of latch hooks throughout the design and is covered in large, bold, repetitive motifs commonly found in Bordjalu carpets. This Kazak Sample rug is hand knotted of 100% Armenian wool on a wool foundation and adorned with wool fringe. The Tufenkian Kazak rugs all have a pile height around a third of an inch.

Our extremely handmade rugs are made with as much care as possible. When choosing a rug, please be aware that slight pattern changes may happen, but the rug will still look beautiful! In other words, a 3x5 may be slightly different than a 12x16.
Our extremely handmade rugs may be of a slightly different size (up to 3 inches). This is due to the beautiful hand-knotted and hand-tufted nature of our rugs.
Vacuum regularly. Loose threads should be trimmed with a scissor (do not pull!). Rug protectors are recommended. If your new rug is exposed to the sun, it is a good idea to rotate regularly to prevent uneven wear. Blot spills with a clean towel (white is best). Cleaning the entire rug should be handled by a professional rug cleaning service.
