A 9’x12’ foot Tufenkian carpet is composed of up to 1.5 million individually hand-tied knots. It is much more difficult, time-consuming, and costly to make our carpets this way. Tradition, culture, heritage, pride and passion are woven into every Tufenkian carpet.
We choose to do it because it matters.

Tufenkian’s 8,000 square foot showroom offers the design community an exciting and convenient shopping experience.
The Showroom’s inviting environment and knowledgeable staff make it easy to select
a hand made, artisan carpet for immediate delivery or to design custom rugs for your clients. A full range of contract, residential and hospitality services are offered, including new hand tufted options in wool and natural fibers. The Portland, Oregon showroom welcomes both trade and retail clients.
Additionally, located next door is the Tufenkian Portland Outlet Store – the only outlet
center for classic Tufenkian Artisan Carpets in the country that features hand knotte rugs in discontinued designs or colors, samples, antiques, and special purchases from around the world. These Tufenkian originals are available to designers and consumers at tremendous savings of up to 65% off retail prices every day, all year long.
