A detailed and textured traditional Armenian Esfahan weave rug.

Jasmine is a traditional folkloric border rug with playful tribal detailing which is enhanced through the use of both standard woven pile and Soumakh flat weave accents. Intricate traditional motifs encompass the field of this area rug in the highest quality wool and handcrafted construction. Jasmine with Soumakh Red Willow was hand-knotted in Armenia using the Tufenkian Esfahan weave, our most luxurious Armenian quality which lends itself to delicate, fine detailed designs and is comparable to our Tibetan Shakti weave with a pile height of about 0.28 inches. The center field is a rich garnet red with accents in beige, ivory, steel blue, yellow and grey. The border has two components, there is the main thick border in light grey and a thin inner and outer border in steel blue using the flat weave.

Our extremely handmade rugs may be of a slightly different size (up to 3 inches). This is due to the beautiful hand-knotted and hand-tufted nature of our rugs.

Cleaning and Care

Vacuum regularly. Loose threads should be trimmed with a scissor (do not pull!). Rug protectors are recommended. If your new rug is exposed to the sun, it is a good idea to rotate regularly to prevent uneven wear. Blot spills with a clean towel (white is best). Cleaning the entire rug should be handled by a professional rug cleaning service.
